First Eastern Counties provide the majority of the bus services between the town centre, rail station and Adastral Park. Service 66 is the most frequent, running up to every 20 minutes throughout the day, 7 days a week. Click here for a link to the timetables.

At peak times on weekdays, additional peak hour journeys are provided by services 67, H66 and X66. These are faster and more direct than service 66 and provide journeys from other areas of the town.

Fares –

Tickets are available in a number different lengths ranging from singles and returns through to weekly, ten trip, monthly and annuals. Tickets up to and including monthly’s can be bought on the bus with an increased range available via their mobile ticketing app, First mTickets.

We are also proud to have signed up to be members of First Eastern Counties Commuter Travel Club, which provides staff with the most cost effective way of travelling by bus. As an example, a staff member living in Ipswich would pay around £64 per month buying weekly tickets vs £56 for a monthly ticket. When this monthly ticket is purchased through the CTC scheme, you will actually pay just £42. For more details on how the scheme works click here. Prices per month for BT staff are –

Business Users are able to travel between Adastral Park and the rail station/town centre on any First service. From the beginning of May 2017 you’ll be REQUIRED to show the driver your valid train ticket and a copy of this notice which can only be printed from The Trainline booking. The voucher is stored on the confirmation page – it’s the page straight after you have pressed “Buy Tickets” and shows the booking confirmation number references and details. Ensure you scroll down if you do not see the voucher.

If you do not show the driver both of these, you will not be able to travel for free and will have to pay the appropriate fare in force at the time.

If you are travelling to Adastral Park by train you can also take advantage of the PlusBus scheme, which for a small amount more, allows you to travel on any bus by simply showing your rail ticket to the driver. Just remember to add it when you book your rail ticket!

Yes, anyone can travel on the bus as long as they present or purchase a valid ticket.

Where will the bus stop at Adastral Park?

Services H66, X66 and 67 start and finish their journeys at the dedicated bus stop outside the reception building in Adastral Park. Service 66 picks up and drops off at the stop on Gloster Road, which is only a short walk from reception.
